Description
This is a great opportunity for Night Senior Team Leaders to join the team at a residential Care Home specialising in Dementia Care and situated in one of our distinguished care homes in Milton Keynes.
Reporting to the Home Manager, the Night Senior Team Leader will actively promote the independence of the home's residents, by assessing and implementing appropriate levels of care required by the home's residents while supervising the effective care of all residents by carers through working alongside them and assessing and managing their performance. Maintain effective communication with the Home Manager by reporting appropriate information as necessary in a timely manner.
You will take full responsibility for ensuring high standards of professional practice which meet the physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual needs of the service users. You will also assist our Home Manager in the planning, directing and delivery of high quality person centred care. Ensuring the quality of service meets the national minimum standards, CQC standards, as well as our internal policies and procedures.
You will be involved in the recruitment, training, management and appraisal of the care team. You will also be required to undertake staff reviews, team meetings, be in charge of the home at night in the absence of the Home Manager.
Applicants for this role will have experience working within an elderly care environment. You'll need to be able to lead and motivate a team. A sound understanding of CQC standards and essential legislation is essential for this role. It is desirable that you are working towards or hold a management qualification
